Project Components

The project consists of three components  and 7 sub components.The components are: Natural Resources Management;Improvement of Livestock Infrastructure and Management;Project Management and Capacity Building.

Need for the Project

The need for this project emanated from the necessity to address the damages and losses sustained by the population, especially the poor and vulnerable communities living in the Arid and Semi-arid lands (ASALs), during the 2008-2011 drought in order to restore normalcy and resumption of economic and social activities.
